Siheyuan ‘四合院’ Trough
Founded in the Beijing region, the Siheyaun home still serves as a template for Chinese architecture. However, some of the more primitive relics of daily living are far outmoded and finding new life as decorative objects in modern homes. Constructed from thick wood to withstand daily use, the vintage Siheyaun Troughs are hand-carved, rectangular wood basins that extend approximately nine inches in length. Use these found objects on bookshelves, as a planter or as wall art. Size, shape and condition vary.
